Distributors and boat builders are placing orders for Blue Sea Systems Custom 360 Panels, and reactions from customers are very positive. Now, boat builders, installers, and end-users have access to custom panels the way they want them, at competitive prices, and with quick delivery.
The staff of Fisheries Supply, a large marine distributor located in Seattle Washington, has been working with their customers to configure and order Custom 360 Panels. They like having the opportunity that the program affords them to work with customers to choose and configure panel functions just the way customers want them.
Robert Feller, Senior Buyer at Fisheries Supply, has been working mostly with low volume boat builders and customers who are upgrading their boat’s electrical system. According to Robert: “Customers are excited about the look, the features, and the flexibility of Custom 360 Panel. The small boat builder wants a panel that is unique to their boat—that doesn’t look like an off-the-shelf panel, and that fits in the space available.”
Andy Lewis, Inside Sales Manager for Fisheries Supply describes it this way: “Many low volume boat builders want custom distribution panels, but until now, custom panels have been too expensive for them. With Custom 360 Panels, they get the look and configuration of a customized panel. They like the ability to configure a panel with just about anything they want, position components where they want them, and specify a panel with dimensions that fit the space on the boat.”
One customer who purchased a Custom 360 Panel through Fisheries Supply is Tom MacNeil, owner of Tom MacNeil Marine Electronics. Tom has just completed the installation of a Custom 360 Panel in a Halberg Rassy 42 foot sailboat in which he has done extensive rewiring. “There isn’t much room in this 20 year old boat for a distribution panel, yet the boat requires many additional DC circuits due to equipment added over the years. This boat has a narrow location to install the panel.” The solution is a tall, narrow DC power distribution panel with digital multimeter, main and 35 branch circuits. “It looks beautiful and the installation went without a hitch.” Tom added. Tom worked with Fisheries Supply and Blue Sea Systems to configure the panel. Tom is familiar with Blue Sea Systems panels—he’s installed them in other boats and likes them: “The 360 panel is a quantum leap in terms of its up-to-date appearance. It is rigid and compact—lots of breakers in a relatively small space. An ideal solution for this boat”.
