Current Ratings for DC Digital Dimmers When Used as Motor Speed Controllers
When Blue Sea Systems’ DC digital dimmers are used as motor speed controllers, their current ratings are much lower than when they are used as lamp dimmers. When supplying power to motors, losses are considerably greater than when supplying power to lamp loads. Digital dimmers may overheat if used with some motors.
Continuous current ratings and maximum voltage ratings for digital dimmers when used for motor speed controllers are presented in the table.
