Inside Sales Manager

Reports to: Senior Vice President

# of Reports: 4

Overview: Manage all activities of the inside customer service team and support the sales process to maximize profitability of the company.

General Duties:

1. Customer Service Dept. Management — manage the day to day operations of the customer service department
2. Sales Procedures — execute national and international sales plan, Business Practices and COOP program
3. Pricing / GM Management — develop and manage process for pricing for Distributors and OEMs that will maximize sales and company profits
4. Sales support — provide necessary support to outside sales team
5. Track sales activity — track and report sales activities though the use of CRM software
6. Trade Show Management — supervise the logistics and attend key shows

Experience Required:

1. Inside Sales Manager experience or equivalent 3+ years
2. Pricing for two step distributors and OEMs
3. Tracking sales activity

Skills Required:

1. Strong analytical ability
2. Organizational and project management skills
3. Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM software

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

1. Active boater
2. Experience with Customer Resource Management (CRM software)
3. Undergraduate degree or equivalent

Graphic Designer

Reports to: Senior Vice President

Overview: Create designs, prepare and coordinate material to be used in advertising to promote products of the organization. Mediums will include: annual catalog, website, sale sheets, newsletter, packaging and product instructions.

General Duties:

1. Accurately represent company's products in annual catalog, on the website and in the monthly newsletter
2. Design and produce sale sheets, packaging and product instructions
3. Update company website

Experience Required:

1. Graphic Design — 5 years or more
2. Developed marketing materials including websites, catalogs, sales sheets and brochures

Skills Required:

1. Strong knowledge of design, graphic layout and advertising principles
2. Highly proficient with Adobe Suite of design software including: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
3. Experience with HTML and CSS

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

1. Working knowledge of marine electrical products
2. Art training of 2 years or equivalent

Technical Support Manager

Reports to: Senior Vice President

Overview: Manage the technical support process for the company. The position is responsible for developing and presenting technical content in a clear, accurate and readable way. The content must be able to bridge the gap between the do it yourself boat owner and the electrical engineer for a national boat building company.

General Duties:

1. Direct and write copy for all technical publications including the annual catalog, sale sheets, monthly email newsletter, product instructions, press releases and packaging
2. Develop training materials for seminars, outside sales people and web site
3. Provide input for new product development process
4. Provide initial screening and/or response to technical calls and emails and apply customer feedback to improve technical content of the company

Qualifications and Experience Required:

1. Min of 5 years experience as copywriter for technical literature and manuals
2. Well versed in a typical boat's electrical system
3. Active boater

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

1. Undergraduate degree or equivalent
2. Published in boating magazines or industry periodicals
3. ABYC certified to intermediate level

Overview: Responsible for developing and presenting technical content for a breadth of electrical products and clearly present the features, advantages and benefits to the customer. The content must be able to bridge the gap between the do it yourself boat owner and the electrical engineer for a national boat building company.

General Duties:
1. Write copy for annual electrical catalog
2. Direct and write copy for new product sale sheets
3. Manage and write copy for monthly email newsletter
4. Write and proof product instructions
5. Write monthly press releases
6. Write copy for packaging
7. Develop training materials for seminars, outside sales people and web site
8. Direct enhancements to company web site

Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. Min of 5 years experience as copywriter for technical consumer facing catalog, flyer or instructions
2. Working knowledge of a typical at's electrical system
3. Min of 2 years experience writing promotional materials with ability to identify and explain the features, advantages and benefits of a product
4. Active boater

Qualifications and Experience Desired:
1. Undergraduate degree
2. Published in boating magazines and industry periodicals
3. Working knowledge of graphic layout and advertising principles
